Membership campaign begins

The membership program is started in India. Executive Director of the Global Sports Federation Asifiqbal A. Thakor with some sportsmen in Gujarat begins the program on November 14.

Executive Director (Events) of Global Sports Federation Mr. Asifiqbal A. Thakor recently met with Indian national cricketer Erfan Pathan.





Newly elected body of GSF

Bangladeshi sports organizer and economist Dr Enayet Karim has been elected President of United Nations affiliated International sports organization-Global Sports Federation (GSF). The election was held recently under the supervision of UNOSDP.

Dr. Karim, the Bangladeshi candidate, has chosen by 105 nations out of 158 countries, while Indian candidate Shri Vhikhu N. Patel has got 81 votes and elected as General Secretary.

Richard Lawrence of USA has been elected as Vice President. The other elected directors are: Charles Pais of Canada, Paul Joof of Gambia, Batan Biswas of Sweden, Nancy de Sousa of South Africa, Wayne Lim of Malaysia and Sameera Aziz of Saudi Arabia.

The apex body of the federation will lead world sports for next three years.

It is worth mentioning that the Global Sports Federation is working for bringing peace through sports.

The election was conducted under the supervision of United Nations Office on Sports for Development and Peace (UNOSDP) led by 3-member election commission.
